چکیده
Lithosphere–atmosphere–ionosphere coupling (LAIC) is studied through various physical or chemical quantities, obtained from different sources, which are observables of the involved complex processes. LAIC has been proposed to be achieved three major channels: chemical, acoustic, and electromagnetic. Accumulated evidence supporting acoustic channel hypothesis published, while atmospheric gravity waves (AGWs) play a key role in as leading mechanism for transmission energy lower atmosphere stratosphere mesosphere, associated with disturbances observed prior strong earthquakes (EQs). The seismogenic AGW result temperature disturbances, usually stratospheric potential (EP). In this work, we examined 11 cases significant EQs (M > 6.7) that occurred during last 10 years at geographic areas by analyzing profile wider location each one EQs. “Sounding Atmosphere using Broadband Emission Radiometry” (SABER) instrument, part “Thermosphere Ionosphere Mesosphere Energetics Dynamics” (TIMED) satellite, data were employed compute (EP) AGW. Using profile, first calculated EP determined altitudes’ range prominent pre-seismic observed. Subsequently, time series specific altitudes, within “disturbed” range, analyzed criticality analysis method termed “natural time” (NT) order find any an approach critical state (during phase transition symmetric low symmetry phase) EQ occurrence. Our results show indications fluctuation few days (1 15 days) EQs, except case. our study, also all temperature-related extreme phenomena have near areas, take into account possible non-seismic influence on results.

Energy and economic comparison of SOFC-GT, MCFC-GT, and SOFC-MCFC-GT hybrid systems
Conversion of fossil fuels to electrical power is the most popular method of electrical power generation. Due to the depletion of fossil fuels and the increase in air pollution, the necessity of using high efficiency power generation systems is increasing. High temperature fuel cells, such as solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) and molten carbonate fuel cells (MCFC), have high efficiency. According t...
متن کاملSeismicity prior to the 2016 Kumamoto earthquakes
We report precursory seismic patterns prior to the 2016 Kumamoto earthquakes, as measured by four different methods based on changes in seismicity that can be used for earthquake forecasting: the b-value method, two methods of seismic quiescence evaluation, and an analysis of seismicity density in space and time. The spatial extent of precursory patterns differs from one method to the other and...

The results of research on some aspects of coastal dynamics during earthquakes, carried out in the Institute of Hydro-Engineering, are summarized. The attention is focused on the liquefaction-related phenomena, like modeling the earthquake-induced generation of pore-pressures and subsequent liquefaction of subsoil, the behavior of liquefied soil, underwater landslides, sinking of structures in ...
